Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is seeking a Hospital Maintenance Mechanic to join our dedicated Facilities & Maintenance team. This role is crucial for ensuring that all hospital facilities and systems operate efficiently, securely, and sustainably. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrades to building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation and healthcare facilities. This position will directly contribute to providing a safe, clean, and functional environment for both patients and staff by upholding the standards of safety and compliance with all current health regulations. Perform routine and scheduled maintenance of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Inspect and repair boilers, heating and cooling systems, and other building systems. Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations regarding hospital maintenance. Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required. Document actions and outcomes for maintenance tasks. Collaborate with facility management to coordinate larger repair projects. Maintain inventory of supplies and tools required for maintenance tasks. Proficiency in repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certification in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing is highly preferred. Compliance with OSHA and other relevant health and safety standards.
