QA Automation Engineer

Job Description:

The QA Automation Engineer (QAE) is responsible for elevating the user experience of our applications through creating automated quality assurance tests. The QAE should expect to interact with Developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to identify and test key features of our software programs. The QAE should be able to develop thorough and structured test plans for both manual and automated testing scenarios. The QAE should be detail-oriented and possess excellent troubleshooting abilities. Communication is integral to success in this role as the QAE will need to acquire a fundamental understanding of our business with requirements defined by multiple departments.Primary Position Tasks:

  • Designing and developing test automation scripts
  • Researching issues in software through testing
  • Collaborating closely with product team to understand key business logic and processes
  • Identifying weaknesses and problem areas in the software application
  • Documenting and translating complex development items for non-technical users
  • Being highly responsive and flexible in a multi-project, fast-paced environment
  • Stay current with software and industry trends
  • Other business duties as assignedMinimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
    • BS or BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ years professional experience as an Automation Engineer
    • Experience working directly with Product Management, IT, and End Users
    • Existing technical set to include:
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and JavaScript
    • Basic knowledge of scripting and other related procedures
    • Expertise in automation tools like Selenium, Playwright or Cypress
    • Proficiency in CI/CDKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
      • Knowledge of standard software development lifecycle
      • Attention to detail
      • Strong communication skills
