Database Engineer Responsibilities:

• 
  Scalability, robustness and quality of enterprise infrastructure systems, which involves a complete mix of databases, applications and infrastructure toolsets.
  
  
• 
  Work on a team of highly technical and talented database engineers responsible for maintaining the global database systems for Enterprise Engineering.
  
  
• 
  Performance monitoring & tuning, backup & recovery of the databases and associated applications.
  
  
• 
  Improve and optimize database administration and management with coding and automation.
  
  
• 
  Support day-to-day operations and escalations of the database systems.
  
  
• 
  Manage geographically dispersed infrastructure, DR environments and docker containers.
  
  
• 
  Contribute to meeting KPIs and SLAs through management of task queues.
  
  
• 
  Support large-scale global disaster recovery exercises while working closely with other infrastructure, production and business teams at Meta.
  
  
• 
  Responsible for troubleshooting, fault isolation and communication across the infrastructure, applications and business teams.
  
  
• 
  Provide Technical design documentation, installation guide, best practices and weekly project.
  
  
•

  Minimum Qualifications:
  Minimum Qualifications:
  
  
• 
  Requires a Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and three years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires three years of experience in the following:
  
  
• 
  
  
• Working in environments such as Oracle, Mongo DB, or MS SQL servers
  
  
  
• 
  
  
• Working with Oracle Exadata, Golden Gate, RAC, ASM, Data guard and RMAN
  
  
  
• 
  
  
• Proficiency in operating application stack environments such as Hyperion, Agile, Oracle Fusion, Oracle EBS, UiPath, or Vertex
  
  
  
• 
  
  
• Installing and managing container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes
  
  
  
• 
  
  
• Administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as GIT, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins
  
  
  
• 
  
  
• Building multiple layers of security around applications including building DMZ, reverse proxy, Firewalls, NAT, Port, Subnetting, VPC, and VPNs
  
  
  
• 
  
  
• Proficiency in Python and Shell and any other languages used in system tooling (e.g. Ruby, Perl)
  
  
  
• 
  
  
• Configuration management tools such as Ansible and Chef and
  
  
  
• 
  
  
• Proficiency in working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Amazon Web Services Cloud environments.
  
  
  
  Public Compensation:
  $174,546/year to $186,120/year + bonus + equity + benefits
