Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a skilled Hospital Maintenance
Mechanic to join our dedicated facilities team. This role is
crucial to ensuring that all hospital systems and machinery are
operating efficiently and safely, thereby supporting Encompass
Health's mission to provide outstanding integrated healthcare
services. As a Hospital Maintenance Mechanic, you will be
responsible for performing routine maintenance and addressing
urgent repair needs across various hospital departments, ensuring
that both facility-based and home-based patient care environments
are optimally maintained. Perform regular maintenance and repairs
on hospital machinery and systems, including HVAC, electrical
systems, and plumbing. Respond to emergency maintenance requests
promptly. Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
Document and maintain records of inspections, maintenance routines,
and repairs. Work closely with other department staff to coordinate
maintenance efforts without interrupting healthcare services.
Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical
systems. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a dynamic environment.

Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a plus. OSHA
Safety training certification preferred.
