Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Engineering Technical Writing
Manager 1, will be responsible for developing content that shows
creative ways to design and deploy algorithms to embedded targets; writing
user- focused content that explains concepts and techniques for
using MathWorks software to develop algorithms and deploying them to
embedded systems; developing examples and tutorials to demonstrate how to
use MATLAB and Simulink with third-party hardware; working with the
user community and customer-facing groups to research information
needs; participating in design reviews; and helping MathWorks develop
next- generation online resources. Education and Experience: Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Technical or
Professional Writing and two (2) years of experience in job offered or two
(2) years of experience in technical support or technical writing for
MATLAB-based simulation technology. OR Ph.D. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering,
Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Technical or Professional
Writing and no experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Technical or
Professional Writing and six (6) years of experience in job offered or six
(6) years of experience in technical support or technical writing for
MATLAB-based simulation technology. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise in technical support or technical
writing for MATLAB-based simulation technology. • Demonstrated expertise writing user focused technical
manuals, articles, or published research of embedded hardware and code
generation technologies. • Demonstrated expertise developing an internal or external
user or technical support infrastructure, including developing user
or technical support content, and online functionality using HTML,
XML, and CSS to display content. • Demonstrated expertise developing content and presenting technical concepts and system functionality of MATLAB-based
simulation technology for end-users or customers. [Experience and/or expertise may be gained during Doctoral
