SummaryUnder the direction of the Orthopaedic Surgery Center Director, the Resource Person performs the duties and responsibilities of charge nurse for the patient populations served in the Orthopaedic Surgery Center. The Resource Person is assigned to assist in assuring a patient/family focused environment. The Resource Person demonstrates high standards of quality patient care and holds care providers accountable to clinical and service standards. The Resource Person demonstrates and coaches others to utilize critical thinking skills. He/she implements and evaluates systems that promote cost effective, quality patient care. He/she is a front line member of the management team. The Resource Person is responsible for supporting and assisting in the delivery of quality patient care and professional nursing practice.EducationGraduate from an accredited Nursing program required. Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university preferred.Certification, Registration & LicensureCertification required to obtain: Basic Life support and ACLS certification within 3 months of hireLicensure required: Current New Hampshire State Registered Nurse license.ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of acute care clinical experience in perioperative/perianesthesia nursing, with demonstrated clinical proficiency. Previous supervisory/leadership experience desired.Responsibilities
