Job Description:
Job SummaryWe are seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider
(APRN or PA) to support our inpatient neurology consult service at
UH Tripoint, with occasional cross-coverage at Lake West. The ideal
candidate will have prior experience in APP and/or neurology, but
we will consider new graduates. The schedule is three 8-hour shifts
per week, with rotating weekends and holidays. The successful
candidate will assist with new telehealth visits to consulting
neurologists and provide subsequent care to established consult
patients.Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and assign diagnoses based on
recorded data and current scientific research.
- Establish and implement care plans, adhering to care paths,
protocols, and standards of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers in an
interdisciplinary approach to provide patient care.
- Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
- Contribute to the educational development of staff, patients,
and self.
- Demonstrate progressive leadership and effective
management.
- Provide education through role modeling and in-services to meet
identified learning needs.
- Advance professional development through self-directed learning
and continuing education.
- Initiate and maintain positive relationships with patients and
coworkers.
- Take responsibility for self-development and support a learning
environment.

- Demonstrated competence as a practitioner.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Technical patient care devices specific to the clinical
area.
- Computers and selected office equipment.Preferred
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal
relationships.Education/Expertise
- Nurse Practitioner: Nursing Doctorate or Master of Science in
Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice.
- Physician Assistant: Completion of a formal Physician Assistant
training from an accredited program with NCCPA
