Job Description:

Summary: Provide safe and efficient nursing care to post-operative patients on a 32-bed unit specializing in surgical procedures.

The UH Surgical Telemetry floor is a 32-bed unit that cares for post-operative patients. Common surgical procedures include total hip and knee replacements, laminectomies and discectomies, abdominal surgeries, and women's health procedures.

Essential Functions:

--- Provides safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and families.
--- Implements the nursing process to deliver effective relationship-based nursing care.
--- Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery to ensure safe practice and positive care outcomes.
--- Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
--- Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
--- Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.

Qualifications:

--- Diploma in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
--- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
--- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
--- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio required.
--- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
--- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on clinical area standards.
--- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on clinical area standards.
