Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at University Hospitals. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in our special care nursery, women laboring, and infant resuscitation areas.Key Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy services to patients in our special care nursery, women laboring, and infant resuscitation areas.
• Perform mechanical ventilation, medicated aerosol delivery, airway clearance therapy, patient monitoring, oxygen and humidity therapy, and special procedures such as CPR and bronchoscopy.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Conduct patient assessments and provide education to patients and families on respiratory care and disease management.Requirements
  • Associates Degree or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Licensed to practice respiratory therapy in Ohio.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the NICU and attending deliveries.Preferred QualificationsThis role is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist with experience in the NICU and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The schedule is part-time, with hour night shifts, Monday-Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays. There is 25% travel to our main campus in Cleveland to maintain skills.Employees who are hired to work 16-34 hours per week will be awarded a $5,000 sign-on bonus: $1,500 to be paid out the next applicable pay period after 90 days of employment, $3,500 to be paid out following the 1 year mark, based on performance.
