Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position with advanced telemetry skills and night shifts. Responsibilities - Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool within a hospital setting - Care for a diverse acute care patient population - 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with every other weekend required - No on-call responsibilities are required - Use of Cerner EMR is preferred but not required - Administration of Cardizem and insulin drips for hyperglycemia, and Phenobarbital on Telemetry unit - Accepts local candidates living within a 50-mile radius at the local rate - Primary responsibilities include monitoring and caring for Med/Surg Telemetry patients and managing cardiac and insulin drips - Weekly orientation will be provided - First-time travelers with sufficient acute care experience will be considered - Permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service - Three professional references required upon commitment (including two from leadership) - Requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of consideration Requirements - Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration; temporary licenses not accepted - Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience in the specialty - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required - Advanced telemetry experience is required - Must pass a Dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or above during onboarding - Cerner EMR experience preferred - Two recent references from Charge Nurse or Manager required - NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-623690.
