Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/08/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg Neuro unit with trauma and telemetry experience required. Responsibilities - 21-bed Med-Surg Neuro unit in a hospital setting - Patient population includes neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, TBI, spinal cord injury, tumor resections (brain and spine), head and neck cancer, and post-surgical care - Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Center caring for patients with implanted electrodes and scalp leads - Day/night rotating shifts, 36 hours per week - Telemetry monitoring is required - No local candidates permitted; must reside outside a 75-mile radius - Involves care for complex neurological cases in a specialized epilepsy center - Holiday coverage may be required - Team-oriented environment with opportunities to care for a diverse neuro patient population Requirements - Active NH or compact RN license required - Minimum of recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the past 2 years - Current BLS certification required - Experience caring for patients with chest tubes, various lines/tubes/drains, central lines, and trachs/laryngectomies - Proficient with drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone - Skilled in wound care and post-surgical neuro patient management - Experience with telemetry monitoring Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629144.
