Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 6 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with ortho/spine expertise and recent Level 1 trauma and EPIC experience. Responsibilities - Work in the Operating Room (OR) of a large trauma Level 1 hospital setting - Care for surgical patients in ortho, spine, general OR, oncology, uro, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, CVT, and trauma specialties - Circulate and scrub roles required for both ortho and spine cases, including total joints and shoulders - Use Da Vinci Robotics system as well as other OR equipment - EPIC EMR experience required within the past 2 years - 10-hour rotating shifts with required weekend and on-call flexibility - No block scheduling offered - Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating on ortho, spine, and general surgical procedures in a trauma Level 1 OR - Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and variable shifts is required - Candidates must have reliable personal or rental transportation as public transit is not available - Snow or all-season tires recommended for vehicle use November through April - COVID and Flu vaccine declinations are accepted with proper documentation - Full employment history and references from nurse supervisors or managers are part of candidate consideration - No block scheduling or guaranteed hours available Requirements - Active RN license required (VT or other state, but VT license application required within 24 hours of accepting contract) - At least 2 years of recent OR RN experience required - Recent experience in a large Level 1 trauma hospital within the past year required - EPIC EMR experience from within the past 2 years is required - Ortho and spine OR training, with competency in both circulating and scrubbing required - Flexibility to take ortho call assignments - Prior travel experience highly preferred Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-598461.
