Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a rotating day/night
position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma
experience and a NH or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Work
in a 24-bed Hematology/Oncology/Gyn Oncology and Med Surg unit plus
a 9-bed Hematology and Cellular Therapy unit - Patient population
includes those with lymphoma, leukemia, ovarian cancers, and
post-surgical oncology patients - Responsible for administering
chemotherapy, managing side effects, and caring for patients
receiving radiation therapy and radioisotopes - Day and night
rotating shifts, 36 hours per week - No local candidates within a
75-mile radius will be considered - Responsibilities include care
and maintenance of central lines, blood draws, and management of
oncology and hematology patients - Team manages both solid and
cellular oncology therapies - Must be comfortable working with
post-surgical and high acuity oncology patients - Dress code and
scrub color requirements will be provided during onboarding
Requirements - Active NH or compact RN license required - Current
BLS certification required - Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2
Trauma experience within the last 2 years required - Experience
with central lines, chest tubes, lines, tubes, drains, and
administering drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or
amiodarone preferred - Experience with trachs, laryngectomies,
