Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Title: RN - Med Surg / Tele Facility: Valley Regional Hospital Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour Night Shift Start Date: 12/1/2025 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (12-hour nights) Number of Shifts per Week: 3 Job Description: We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join Valley Regional Hospital's Med Surg / Tele unit for an immediate start. This is a 13-week assignment with the potential for extension, primarily scheduled for overnight shifts. Candidates must be available to work on a guaranteed 36-hour week schedule, with three 12-hour night shifts. Key responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive patient care in a small, rural hospital setting for a diverse patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric. Monitoring cardiac activity and responding to changes in patient acuity. Managing patient needs independently while maintaining high standards of care. Documenting clinical information accurately and timely. Adhering to hospital policies, dress code (personal scrubs of any color), and safety protocols. Additional details: The unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 5:1, with higher acuity patients (3-4:1). This position requires prior experience in a Medical/Surgical environment with cardiac monitoring proficiency. Preference for candidates with rural hospital experience and the ability to work independently. Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable. Required Skills and Qualifications: Valid RN license (underline and bold RN License ). Cardiac monitoring experience in Med Surg/Telemetry. Ability to work independently and hit the ground running. Flexibility to work a minimum of three scheduled shifts per week. Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills. Excellent communication skills and adaptability to a rural healthcare setting. Preferred Education & Experience: Active RN license in the state of New Hampshire (underline and bold NH RN License ). Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Med Surg or Telemetry experience. Experience in rural healthcare settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required (underline and bold BLS and ACLS Certifications ). Certification and License Requirements: RN License: Active and valid RN license in the state of New Hampshire (underline and bold). BLS Certification: Current BLS certification (underline and bold). ACLS Certification: Current ACLS certification (underline and bold). Additional Information: Holiday coverage is required, specifically working two of the following: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and the weekends surrounding these holidays. RTO (Requested Time Off) during the assignment must be noted and approved prior to upload; requests after upload will not be considered. No non-billable orientation OT, and holiday multipliers apply at 1.25x. The facility will not consider candidates residing within 50 miles.
