Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Rehabilitation Med/Surg night shift position requiring Charge RN experience and VT or compact RN license. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is based in a hospital Med/Surg and Rehabilitation unit - Night shift with 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week - Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed - Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 with an average census of 22 patients - May float between Acute Rehab and Med/Surg units - May be assigned as a backup Charge Nurse - Uses Cerner EMR; experience required or strongly preferred - Candidate must have their own vehicle due to lack of public transport - Local travelers residing within 50 miles are ineligible - Coordinates total nursing care including patient and family teaching - Maintains professional nursing standards and collaborates with ancillary staff - Orientation provided upon start - No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered during assignment - Holiday work may be required if needed - Scrub or dress code not specified; follow standard professional attire - First-time travelers are not eligible /n /n Requirements/n - Active VT or compact RN license required - Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required - Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg and Rehabilitation experience required - Previous travel nursing experience of at least 3 months required - Charge RN experience required - BSN preferred - Ability to work without schedule accommodations such as block scheduling - No simultaneous employment with another permanent or travel assignment allowed /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-646437.
