Job Description:
Northeast Family Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to
join our growing team! FFS - Fee For Service Position The Behavior
Technician will be responsible for the implementation of clients’
behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and
provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new
skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA. The Behavior
Technician will monitor client behavior, collect data on client
behavior, and report the data back to supervising BCBA. The
Behavior Technician will work collaboratively with the supervising
BCBA and client’s family to support meaningful changes in client
behavior. Qualifications: A high school diploma or a GED and have
24 months of experience working with persons with developmental
disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth or
families OR An associates degree or higher in either a human,
social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or
certification related to behavior management from an accredited
community college or educational institution and have 12 months
experience working with persons with developmental disabilities,
children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families OR
Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the
Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and have 12 months
experience working with persons with developmental disabilities,
children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families Other
Requirements: Must be 21 years or older per updated state of MA ABA
program requirements Must be available afternoon hours Valid
driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills Experience in applied
settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred Effective
written and verbal communication skills A compassionate approach to
care ABA Benefits: Northeast Family Services offers high-quality
supervision of fieldwork experience for candidates seeking the BCBA
or BCaBA credentials. A two-year contract is offered following
successful completion of fieldwork experience. Northeast Family
Services encourages interested staff to obtain the Registered
Behavior Technician credential by offering RBT 40 hour training,
initial competency assessment, ongoing skills-based supervision,
and a $100 bonus upon obtaining RBT credential. Hands on training,
with ongoing clinical support from supervising BCBA Access to
multiple, free monthly professional development and training
activities on a rotation of relevant topics and skills
Individualized supervision, focused on achievement of professional
goals and skill advancement Access to company technology, with
productivity agreement of 20 hours/week Tuition reimbursement
program available to eligible employees Flexible schedule, built to
meet staff needs Compensation: $20-$27/hour depending upon
