is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit
(PCU) position requiring a minimum of 1.5 years of recent
equivalent experience and Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma
background. Details - 48-bed step-down unit specializing in
cardiology, electrophysiology (EP), and cardiac surgical patient
populations - Patient population includes cardiothoracic surgical
(pre and post-op), CHF, vascular, pulmonary hypertension, and
telemetry monitoring cases - Patient ratios are 1:3 on day shift
and 1:4-5 on night shift, depending on acuity - Day/night rotation
schedule, 36 hours per week - Unit procedures include hemodynamic
monitoring, invasive BP monitoring via arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP,
external pacers, epicardial wires, TR bands, and
vasoactive/inotropic drip management - Additional procedures
include chest tubes, trachs/laryngectomies, complex wounds, central
line care and maintenance, and management of surgical lines, tubes,
and drains - Vasoactive drips include Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix,
insulin, amiodarone, Nitro, Primacor, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and
low-dose pressors Requirements - Active NH RN license or Compact RN
license required (proof of state residency required) - Current BLS
and ACLS certifications required - Minimum of 1.5 years of recent,
equivalent PCU/step-down or cardiac nursing experience required -
Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the
last 2 years required - Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring,
arterial lines, vasoactive drips, and post-surgical patient
management required - 2 manager references required for
consideration Additional Information - Candidates must reside more
than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates
will not be considered - Care responsibilities include managing
complex cardiac and post-surgical patients across both step-down
