Job Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in an Intermediate
Care / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) working 12-hour night shifts
with an every weekend schedule. The RN provides care for cardiac
stepdown and surgical patients requiring close monitoring following
procedures such as cardiothoracic or vascular surgery. The role
focuses on managing patients transitioning from ICU-level care
while providing telemetry monitoring and post-operative support.
Requirements: Candidates must have at least 2 years of RN
experience with 1 year in PCU/Stepdown. AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
certifications are required, with PCCN preferred. Experience with
cardiac, cardiothoracic, and vascular patients, including
post-operative day 1 open or closed heart cases, is required.
Recent Epic charting experience within the last 2 years is
mandatory, along with experience in a large Level I trauma
facility.
