Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 26 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring flexibility with schedule, a VT or compact RN license, and recent EPIC experience. Responsibilities - Work in the Labor & Delivery unit at a Level 1 Perinatal Center - Patient care includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecologic non-obstetric, and nursery patients - 12-hour night shifts with potential weekend and holiday coverage - Must be able to work in nursery, labor & delivery, and postpartum settings - Uses EPIC EMR system; experience within past 2 years required - Schedule requires flexibility including the possibility of working 2 out of the 3 major holidays - No block scheduling permitted - Responsible for providing care throughout labor, delivery, nursery, and postpartum stages - Must be willing to work with a diverse patient population in a busy perinatal center - Bi-weekly orientations are available on Mondays - Travelers must work at least 2 out of the 3 main winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, New Year's Day/Eve) - No block scheduling for any reason - Holiday and weekend shift flexibility is required - A current New York RN license or proof of application will be taken into consideration for scheduling Requirements - Active VT or compact RN license required, or commitment to apply for VT licensure within 24 hours of acceptance - AHA BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS and STABLE preferred - Minimum of 1 year recent Labor & Delivery experience - Must maintain competencies in CPR, ACLS, NRP, EMTALA, and Fetal Monitoring - Experience required in caring for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological non-obstetrical patients - Reliable personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation is not accessible - All season or snow tires are required for vehicles during November–April Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620482.
