Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for night shifts, requiring 3 years of Med/Surg experience and a NH or compact RN license. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit with 18 beds - Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric - Average night RN to patient ratio is 1:6 - Night shift schedule: 3x12hr shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM - Every other weekend and some holidays required - No on-call responsibilities - Uses Meditech EMR - Travelers must live outside a 50 mile radius - Scrubs must be provided by the traveler and may be any color - Maximum of 5 days of requested time off; time off requests around holidays are limited - No previous local employment allowed - No on-call or charge/precepting responsibilities unless otherwise specified - First-time travelers will be considered but travel experience is preferred /n /n Requirements/n - Active NH or compact RN license required - Current BLS certification from AHA required - Minimum of 3 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required - ICU experience strongly preferred - Travel nursing experience strongly encouraged - Meditech experience highly preferred - BSN preferred /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-646394.
