Job Description:

ClearChoiceMD is seeking an experienced, dependable HR Benefits Specialist to join our Corporate Human Resources team! Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and the desire to thrive in our fast-paced recruiting team.

Job Summary: The HR Benefits Specialist will support the HR team by leading the benefits administration and will support and provide input on the design, develop, and maintain tools and resources to support the administration of the 401(k), health and wellness benefits and compensation plans and packages. The HR Benefits Specialist will also be responsible for collecting, compiling HR data, metrics, and statistics to make recommendations on benefits and compensation packages offerings that continue to meet the needs of a growing organization with a diverse employee population. This position reports to the Executive Director of Human Resources.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Research, analyze, evaluate, and administer corporate benefit plans/programs
Assist with the administration of multi-state employee benefits including 401(k), Health and Welfare, Wellness, Compensation FSA, PTO, EAP, and executive benefits
Assist in research, development, renewal and communication of benefit and compensation plans
Interpret/review/update benefits policies and procedures to ensure standardization, legal compliance, and improved efficiency
Maintain positive client relationships assisting internal and external clients with requests and problems and respond promptly
Research and resolve complex benefit issues using multiple systems, tools, and resources
Prepare and send standard reports on a timely basis to internal and external contacts
Act as liaison between carriers and HRIS vendors for benefit support related items
Review, transmit and resolve issues with eligibility files for benefit plan vendors
Participate in vendor meetings and assessments, including the RFP process
Review, reconcile, and submit benefit plan invoices
Assist in federal, state and government regulatory filings and processes (i.e., 5500s, SARs, audits, non-discrimination testing, etc.)
Coordinate annual events, such as annual enrollment, health fairs, wellness events, etc.
Participate in creating and presenting training sessions for leadership teams and corporate human resources generalists

Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies to include MA, RI, NH, VT, ME state and Federal labor laws

Skills and Key Competencies:
Experience working with a variety of benefit vendors and administering benefit plans and wellness programs.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and conduct presentations with all levels of their organization.
Practical knowledge and application of benefit programs, regulations, and other applicable laws.
Strong analytical skills and ability to apply strong financial acumen.
Demonstrated strong organizational and project management skills.
Individual must be detail oriented, display the ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and customers simultaneously, and make decisions independently, as appropriate.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred
2+ years of benefits experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Experience in HRIS systems, particularly related to health and welfare systems preferred.
Knowledge of benefits administration and related concepts and practices such as ACA, ERISA and HIPAA preferred.
Working knowledge of current employment and benefits laws is preferred.
Strong analytical, reporting and Excel skills and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time exempt position with an expected workweek of 40 hours. Typical work hours and days are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm. This position is a hybrid position with remote and in-office ( 2 days minimal) flex.
