Job Description:
36 hours/week nights.You can qualify for a recruitment bonus if
you are a licensed Respiratory Therapist. If you have previously
worked at Concord Hospital, you have to be separated for at least
one year since your termination date to be eligible. This position
is eligible for a bonus of $7500 (less taxes) to be awarded in
installments over 24 months. To meet the criteria you must stay in
the shift/hours during this timeframe and maintain satisfactory
performance.SummaryAdministers respiratory therapy and life support
to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the
cardiopulmonary system, under supervision of the Director of
Respiratory Services, Manager of Respiratory Care, and the Medical
Director of Respiratory Care. Cares for patients from simple to
complex, neonate to geriatrics, with multi system issues in a safe
and therapeutic environment.EducationGraduate with an Associate's
degree from an American Medical Association approved school for
Respiratory Care.Certification, Registration &
LicensureCertification required: Current American Heart Association
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or
equivalent course credentialed by American Heart
Association.Registration required to obtain: Registry eligible
through the NBRC. Must obtain within 2 years after hireLicensure
required: Current New Hampshire State Respiratory Care
licenseResponsibilitiesPerforms initial and ongoing patient
assessments and adapts to changing clinical conditions.Administers
medication to patients.Documents care provided and patient's
progress toward attainment of desired outcomes.Involves self in
departmental and hospital initiatives.Obtains required
intubations.Manages time and workload fluctuations.Acts as a
preceptor to staff and students.Utilizes the hospital and
departmental information, technology systems and equipment
operations.Completes departmental and hospital
requirements.Performs other duties as assigned.Concord Hospital is
