Novo Nordisk, interns will have the opportunity to work closely
with experienced industry professionals and gain valuable,
hands-on, full-time work experience. For 12 weeks, interns will be
immersed in the environment of a 24/7 commercial scale
bio-production facility and contribute to the business by providing
sustainable and meaningful project work. The Cleaning Engineering
Intern will work within our specialized engineering team focused on
ensuring our equipment and facilities are performing cleaning and
sterilization procedures to the highest industry and regulatory
standards. This internship will involve 2 projects which will
support updating and/or creating standardized control charts for
sterilization procedures at our facility, and work to benchmark
with other Novo Nordisk sites to ensure current
cleaning/sterilization procedures are in line with company
standards. These projects will enable the Cleaning Engineering
Intern to work directly with a variety of equipment and teams
involved in the entire lifecycle of our API manufacturing processes
in a commercial scale GMP environment. This role will be required
to enter our sterile/cleanroom areas which require wearing:
hairnet, beard cover, frocks/coveralls, shoe covers, snood, face
mask, sterile gloves, and to follow GMP processes at all times.
Examples of prohibited materials in cleanroom areas may include
(but are not limited to): food/drink/gum, jewelery, cosmetics, nail
acrylics, perfume/cologne, and personal cell phones. This role is
based onsite at our West Lebanon, NH bio-production facility. Work
schedule is: Monday-Friday 8am-430pm. Program Start: May 26, 2026.
Program End: August 14, 2026. Relationships Reports to: Manager,
Cleaning Essential Functions Support projects to maintain and
improve the cleaning monitoring programReview data from cleaning
and sterilization procedures, and create charts/graphs from
dataReview historical data from cleaning and sterilization
practices onsiteWork with team to ensure changes to SOPs are in
line with FDA and Novo Nordisk requirementsGain basic of
understanding for manufacturing equipment and utilities onsite
including a variety of skids, tanks, washers, piping systems, and
other assorted systemsCalculate maximum allowable carry over values
for various soils and cleaning solutions in each
equipmentCoordinate with other departments to gather feedback and
schedule meetings as neededReview SOPs from other Novo Nordisk
sites and compare to local site practices, flag potential areas for
improvementPerform 'go look see' in sterile/cleanroom manufacturing
areas when problems arisePerform all job duties and responsbilities
in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all
applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry
codesIncorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all
activities and interactions with othersOther duties as assigned
Qualifications Must be currently attending an accredited four-year
college or university pursing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with
a related STEM field, engineering major is preferredStrong academic
record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or
higherConscientious self-starter with good organizational skills,
project management skills and attention to detailAbility to balance
multiple projects and priorities, must be able to multi-taskStrong
interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate with teams;
must effectively operate independently, across functional lines,
and with internal customersDemonstrated personal initiative,
self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and willingness to
learnProficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel,
