Substance Use Disorder Clinician$3,000 SIGN ON BONUSRiverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Clinician to provide quality clinical services to residents of Merrimack County who have reached out to the agency's Substance Use/Opioid Use Disorders Program to pursue treatment.Responsibilities

  • Provides crisis intervention and stabilization services both in person and by phone, to individuals who are in an acute Substance Use Disorder/Opioid Use Disorder related crisis that requires immediate, non-emergency intervention including providing community-based crisis assessments.
  • Conducts clinical evaluations, psycho-social assessments, clinical formulations and diagnoses to support an understanding of the level of care that the person requires.
  • Conducts assessments that reflect an understanding of relevant developmental, cultural and family systems issues and diagnoses that are consistent with DSM 5 criteria.
  • Develops treatment plans that reflect medical necessity, client strengths, symptoms and functional impairments and the specific issues related to treating Substance Use Disorder/Opioid Use Disorder.
  • Ensures client-driven goals and objectives are behavioral and measurable, consistent with clinical presentation and generally accepted standards of care or evidence-based practices.
  • Uses sound clinical judgment and is able to provide clinical consultations to staff relating to clinical crises.
  • Provides individual and group therapy services.
  • Makes appropriate referrals to community-based programs using the ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria. With other members of the team, ensures that there is a smooth transition of care to community treatment resources.Requirements
    • Master's degree in social work, psychology, education or related human services field required.
    • Current NH license or ability to pursue a license as a MLADC by the NH Board of Mental Health Practice required.
    • Solid understanding of substance use disorders treatment required.
    • Three (3) years' experience in mental health service delivery which includes two (2) years of experience in providing substance use disorder treatment required.
