UX team is seeking a design leader who is passionate about creating
experiences that improve lives and strengthen communities. As an
Experience Design Strategist, you will play a critical role in
designing solutions that are used daily by customers and you'll
have an opportunity to help them manage a critical part of their
lives, their financial well-being.We're looking for someone

people, we want to meet you.OverviewIn this role, you will guide a
team through organizing problem-solving activities from the
earliest phases of innovation through the transition into delivery.
Activities include but are not limited to:
- Collecting and organizing data from a variety of sources
(primary and secondary research) to identify knowledge gaps and
understand the current and ideal experience
- Ensuring experience problems are clear, focused, and connected
to Huntington's goals
- Creating tools and frameworks that contextualize insights so
that Huntington can assess the experiences we are delivering and
uncover opportunities
- Facilitating conversations with cross-functional teams of
designers and experts to align on focus areas and key problems to
solve, build empathy, and generate and prioritize ideas
- Communicating key experience design criteria to design teams
and assisting in the transition from strategic concept to solution
design and implementationSkills Required
- Expertise in experience design strategy with a track record of
translating insights into new and differentiating experiences
- Experience and comfortability partnering with key stakeholders
at various organizational levels (from front line to C-suite)
- Experience and comfortability leading complex, broad-scope
strategic initiatives; working with collaborative, cross-functional
teams
- Strong curiosity & excitement to explore / uncover hidden
opportunities and learn new things
- Creative storytelling abilities to connect the current
experience and to a vision for improvements that meets both user
and business needs
- Expertise in creating thoughtful user-centered design
approaches, leveraging a variety of problem-solving techniques
- Expertise in design strategy tools & methods and able to
communicate them to within the organization (e.g. enterprise
experience frameworks, journey mapping, service blueprints,
compelling visual story-telling, experience models and tools for
relating interaction-level experience criteria to design teams)
- Understanding of specialized UX skillsets (e.g. interaction and
visual design, content strategy, front-end UI
development)Additional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Human-Computer
Interaction, Human-factors Engineering, Cognitive Psychology or
equivalent related experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of experience
design
- Preferred minimum 5 years of experience leading design teams
and large-scale projects
- Demonstrates a mature ability to prioritize and manage
