Summary of Role: SunPower is seeking an experienced Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to provide leadership and support to our internal business customers and understand needs and requirements, conduct prototyping and testing, and develop custom report automation and analytics solutions. The role's focus is to participate in all phases of software development lifecycle, including data exploration, solution design, iterative development and testing, break/fix and user support. This person will serve as a dedicated engineer for our central analytics functions, supporting solutions that enable faster and better decision-making. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: + Work with business analysts and functional leaders to understand and document the expected outcomes of a project of any size + Explore data / model data to better understand the behavior of data used in analytics and automated reports + Work independently and manage multiple task assignments + Work collaboratively with offshore developers to ensure velocity and quality are maximized + Perform peer code review to ensure high quality across the BI team + Actively participate in preparing project ticket details, including Solution design, Developer test plans, and work breakdown + Develop automated application and data quality monitoring and alerting to prevent negative user experience + Constantly increase scope of skills to ensure solutions can be developed in the best fit platform for the business needs Required Qualifications: + 5+ years' experience in Business Intelligence Center of Excellence design + 5+ years' experience using SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, or equivalent + Experience developing custom solutions in C++, Java, or Python + Extensive experience developing within market-leading BI solutions, such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, PowerBI, MODE, etc. + Strong written and oral communication skills + Experience in collaboration with data warehouse teams is a plus Don't meet every single requirement?
