Current opening: Full Time Monday - Friday 8a-4p

Reporting to the Controller, the AP/AR Specialist is responsible for accurately processing A/P invoices, maintaining vendor files, weekly check runs, employee expense reconciliation and similar work-related tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Completes payment expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling vendor invoices
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Reviews receivers and other supporting documents for accuracy
• Gains approval for vendor invoices, as needed
• Prepares weekly check run and submits to management for signature
• Maintains vendor contact information and AP files
• Handles AP inquiries and requests
• Ensures all entries are correct and coded to the correct General Ledger
• Communicates verbally and in writing with all levels within the agency and externally with vendors
• Researches and resolves discrepancies and disputes
• Suggests improvements to processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the accounts payable process
• Daily Deposits including updating and maintaining check log
• Posts payments to patient accounts Other Job Functions
  • Serves as a backup for payroll processing
  • Follows the guidelines established for this position as well as agency policies and procedures

    Requirements
    
    
  • Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of three to four years accounting experience within healthcare environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
    This is NOT a remote position but may be eligible for work from home.
