Seeking a skilled ED Technician to provide BLS care to ED patients in collaboration with ED Registered Nurses and Physicians.
Job Description

• 
  
• The ED Technician is responsible for providing BLS care to ED patients in collaboration with ED Registered Nurses and Physicians.
  
• Perform specialized skills including custom orthopedic splinting, assisting physicians with orthopedic casting, phlebotomy, application of dressings, preparing patients for suturing and urinary catheter insertion.
  
• Play an important role in bioterrorism & disaster preparedness including preparation for response to a mass influx of patients.
  
  Minimum Qualifications

    Education
    
    • 
      
    • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
      
      
      
    • 
      Experience
      
      • 
        
      • 1 year pre-hospital EMS experience preferred.
        
        
        
      • 
        Licensure and/or Certification
        
        • 
          
        • BLS healthcare provider required.
          
        • EMT Certification preferred.
