Job Description:
Company Overview1910 Genetics is a Series A stage biotechnology
company that is pioneering a novel Input-Transform-Output (ITO)
platform as the first ever horizontal AI infrastructure for drug
discovery. In a crowded space with hundreds of AI drug discovery
companies, 1910's ITO platform is differentiated by:
- Modality agnostic drug discovery: our platform is capable of
designing both small molecule and large molecule therapeutics
across all disease areas, with an initial focus on neuroscience,
oncology, and autoimmune diseases.
- Proprietary massive multimodal data, which overcomes the data
scarcity problem that prevents frontier AI models from being
utilized for drug discovery.
- Multi-AI agent systems that include a robust collection of
frontier AI/ML models, each of which works in a task-oriented
manner to achieve the multi-parameter optimization problem of drug
discovery and development.
- A state-of-the-art (SOTA) fully-automated, high throughput wet
laboratory in the premier Boston Seaport District for both data
generation for AI model training as well as validation of the
safety and efficacy of drug candidates that are outputted by our
frontier AI models.
- An unprecedented partnership with Microsoft, which positions
1910 as the only biotech/pharma company leveraging Azure Quantum
Elements, a groundbreaking, AI-driven, high performance computing
(HPC) cloud architecture for advanced AI.
- Bespoke conversational AI chatbots that provide a customer
friendly UI/UX to access our platform for specific drug discovery
tasks.
- Being the only biotech company helping pharma companies
integrate 6 core areas of AI infrastructure.1910 Genetics is
looking for an In Vitro Pharmacology Assay Scientist to work
closely with our biologists in the discovery of antibodies. An
expert in biochemical characterization of biological drug
molecules, the ideal candidate will have experience in antibody
drug discovery and characterization of a variety of molecular
types.Role Responsibilities
- Validate target material in functional biochemical assays prior
to the start of antibody discovery.
- Design, validate and execute in vitro biochemical assays for
the screening of molecules from 1910 Genetics' AI-driven large
molecule therapeutics platform.
- Develop, validate and execute assays for the biophysical
characterization of antibodies in various formats and for various
modalities.
- Work closely with 1910 scientists to refine assays to help
drive delivery of program objectives.
- Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and
results in electronic lab notebook.
- Present experimental results/progress in a timely manner and
contribute to scientific discussion in group meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI Research
and Computational Chemistry to discuss project updates as well as
ensure the project milestones and timelines are met.

required.
- Stay current with scientific literature and emerging
technologies in the fields of large and small molecule
research.Qualifications
- PhD in Biology with a focus on Biochemistry, Cell Biology, In
Vitro Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences or a related field.
- Postdoctoral experience or relevant industry experience in drug
discovery or In Vitro Pharmacology.
- Experience in developing, validating and implementing biology,
biochemical, and cell-based assays.

therapeutic areas such as Immunology & Inflammation, neuroscience,
oncology, and cardiometabolic diseases.
- Experience with immune cell isolation and assay
development.
- Experience using analytical techniques/instrumentation for
characterization and quantification of large molecules, including
chromatographic techniques such as HIC (Hydrophobic Interaction
Chromatography) and RP (Reverse Phase), SEC (Size Exclusion
Chromatography), SDS-PAGE, UV-Vis, etc.
- Familiarity with conjugation, purification and characterization
of antibody drug conjugates.
