Job Description:
The Department of Surgery at Robert Larner, M.D. College of
Medicine at The University of Vermont and the University of Vermont
Health Medical Group are seeking an academic vascular surgeon to
join the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy.
This is an opportunity to join an established group of six vascular
surgeons caring for patients in the Vermont and upstate New York
region. This position will be mainly based at The University of
Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) in Burlington, VT but the surgeon
will participate in our outreach location in Plattsburgh, NY which
will include establishing a venous practice. Clinical interest in
assuming leadership in an established thoracic outlet practice is
desirable. The successful candidate must be BC/BE Vascular Surgeon,
be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Vermont, State of
New York and eligible to work in the United States. The candidate
must have demonstrated interest in teaching, research and/or
quality improvement. Interest in medical applications of generative
artificial intelligence and computer programming skills is optimal.
The University of Vermont Medical Center partners with Larner
College of Medicine at University of Vermont and has a General
Surgery residency program as well as an established Vascular
Surgery 5-2 fellowship. This is a full-time, 12-month salaried
faculty appointment in the Clinical Scholar Pathway at the rank of
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor and carries
with it attending staff privileges at University of Vermont Medical
Center as part of University of Vermont Health Medical Group.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with ability and experience.
