We Need You We are looking for a resourceful, strategic, and
passionate fundraiser who thrives on building deep, meaningful
relationships with high-capacity donors. You are tenacious in
pursuing ambitious goals, creative in aligning donor interests with
the Museum's priorities, and energized by working closely with
donors and leadership to make a tangible impact on the Museum's
mission. If you enjoy designing and executing personalized
engagement strategies, closing major gifts, and stewarding donors
in a thoughtful and strategic way, we need you on our team. What
You'll Accomplish Frontline Fundraising & Portfolio Management:
Cultivate, solicit, and manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors,
including six- and seven-figure prospects, to meet ambitious
revenue and engagement goals. Board Member Engagement:
Strategically engage board members to support trustee giving
expectations and identify meaningful philanthropic opportunities.
Strategic Donor Conversations: Lead thoughtful, personalized
conversations with prospective donors to align their philanthropic
goals with Museum priorities. Proposal Development & Gift
Structuring: Develop compelling proposals and gift strategies,
including understanding various giving vehicles and planned giving
options. Prospect Development: Identify and cultivate under-engaged
or research-identified unaffiliated prospects to grow the donor
base. Collaboration with Leadership: Serve as a trusted partner to
Museum leadership in engaging donors, advancing fundraising
priorities, and shaping strategic initiatives. What We're Looking
For (Competencies & Experience) Frontline Fundraising Expertise:
Proven success in managing high-capacity donor portfolios and
closing major gifts; comfortable engaging with donors of diverse
backgrounds. Strategic & Resourceful: Creative and tenacious in
developing strategies for donor engagement and cultivation, with a
track record of delivering on ambitious goals.
Relationship-Oriented: Excels at building long-term, meaningful
relationships with donors and internal stakeholders. Exceptional
Communication Skills: Strong writer and speaker, able to craft
compelling proposals and articulate the Museum's mission with
authenticity. Mission-Driven: Deeply passionate about the Museum of
Science and its mission to help the world love and trust science,
with a desire to make a measurable impact through philanthropy. How
