Dental Assistant Location: White River Junction, VT Agency: 22nd Century Healthcare, Inc. Pay: $130 to $150 per hour Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 3 Months Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Description: Provide comprehensive dental care in accordance with state dental practice laws and licensure requirements. Conduct complete dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning, considering each patient’s full medical and dental history. Develop and explain individualized, Veteran-centric treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences. Deliver phased dental care including acute care, disease control, definitive treatment, and maintenance. Perform a wide range of dental procedures within scope of practice, including restorative care (implants), preventive care, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and periodontics. Diagnose, stabilize, and treat acute dental conditions such as infections or trauma. Provide post-operative care and manage follow-up treatment plans. Coordinate care with VA dental and medical staff when treatment cannot be completed in the mobile dental clinic. Requirements Clinic & Team Management Supervise dental hygienists and dental assistants in compliance with state regulations. Assign and oversee staff duties to ensure efficient clinic operations. Verify Veteran dental eligibility and make determinations for Class III and Class VI dental care per VA regulations. Address patient concerns or complaints promptly with appropriate documentation and follow-up. Minimum Education Level: Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an ADA/CODA-accredited dental school Licensure Requirements: Dentist license in the State of Vermont Active BLS/CPR
